Kicking it Off on a Positive Note

Before I get into anything, I have a couple of questions for you more experienced bloggers out there:

  1. You may have noticed that I re-did my header a couple of days ago. The quality sucks. Does anyone know how to help me out with this?
  2. I’m working on a website for my personal training business and am completely lost. Does anyone have a designer that I could work with?
  3. I really want to start getting involved with healthy living corporations, whether they are exercise or diet based. Any suggestions?

Now if you’re anything like me, you dread Monday mornings. You look at your beeping alarm clock and really just want to throw it out the window and crawl back into bed forever. I physically need to thrust myself out of bed, or I will probably go back to sleep for hours. Usually when I wake up in the morning I do some strength training for about a half hour, shower, eat real quick, and get on with my day. If I’m doing cardio that day, I’ll stop by the gym after work. I like to break my workout up. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it works for me. This morning I did a couple of Tone It Up workouts. I did each one 3x through.

I’m not sure how big these show up on your computers. You should be able to click on them to see it bigger if you’re interested in the workout. If not, leave me a comment and I’ll get you the link!

Last night I went through all of my recipes and workouts that I have pulled out of magazines over the years, and Oh. My. Goodness. I have SO many new ideas now! WHY have I never done this before?? I am so happy with all my new options that I have! I have so many new ideas for training plans for clients now. A lot of these articles are a few years old, which I’m quite happy about. Sometimes older is better! Plus, it’s nice to throw some of the originals back into the mix once in a while.

Focus on this today:

We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.

- Albert Einstein

I’m off to start this crazy week of mine. I’m hoping it flies by, since I’m doing something super fun this Saturday! I’ve mentioned it on here before…can you guess what it is?? Smile with tongue out

What is your Monday workout?

Comments

  1. Thanks for the positive note to start the day :) Our workout was a short run, glad to be done with it!

  2. I like looking back through some oldie but goodie workouts to switch it up. But today is a rest day so just a little walking for me :)

  3. Thank you for the quote. It came at a perfect time as I’m having a rough morning added on to my weekend. Thank you.

  4. I’m just going to head to the gym for some elliptical + strength training! Not to mention walking to/from school twice, which equals over an hour and a half. I love walking, it’s like a sneaky little calorie burner! Happy Monday, girl!

  5. I have so many recipes that I just have never tried, they sit in a starred folder. I need to start trying some out!

  6. Thanks for that quote! It’s a good one!

  7. That quote is a nice way to start a Monday! I know of a blogger who designs websites. I don’t know what her prices are, but she’s good. Peanut Butter and Jenny.

  8. I am not an experienced blogger by any means, but when I like a healthy living food item or product, I always Tweet my blog post link to them if I featured them in a post. I also use Facebook the same way. I have built some good relationships and friendship with some brands and company’s and with that can come opportunity. Love your quote. have a good week.

  9. Happy Monday! I really like the Albert Einstein quote. I think that perspective is so healthy. I try to focus on the positive of what I can do, rather than what I can’t or what I’m not. Like today– I am working out in the evening and waiting to see how my body feels to decide whether to do a HIIT cardio workout or a leg day at the gym. Before I would’ve forced myself to do legs because I should, rather than listening to my body’s needs.

  10. Oh I like to split up my workouts too! Run in the morning and then yoga or something after work…less pressure to get everything done at the same time and yoga calms me down after a crazy day with the kiddies haha…and i had no workout today…slept horribly and have run/done yoga for the past three days so I decided today was rest day for me!

  11. My workout was triceps/chest…I think my boobs look bigger 8-)
