Life lessons….

  • Nothing good ever happens after 10 p.m.

  • You should never see how low you can let your gas tank get before refilling it, because you will run out of gas on the side of the road and not think it’s very funny until a long time later.
  • Go to a lot of concerts.

  • If you’re ever sad, watch Bridesmaids and life will get significantly better.

  • If there is a snow storm coming and you are in college, make sure you at least have all the ingredients to make cookies. Otherwise you will be stuck in your apartment for 3 days with sugar cookies made with water instead of eggs.
  • Don’t try something on in a dressing room that might be too small for you. The attendant will have to come help you take it off, and that’s super embarrassing.

  • People who have accents typically don’t think it’s funny when you try to imitate their voice. Fun fact. Whenever I’ve met people that don’t live from Michigan, they tell me I have an accent. I beg to differ.
  • If you are still in school, you should go to your professor’s office hours. They kind of love you then and usually give you a snack when you go visit.
  • Don’t get on a treadmill right next to someone else if there are other ones open. That is creepy and weird and sets you up for an extremely awkward workout.

  • Starbucks coffee really is the best.

  • Going to Disneyworld is not a vacation. It is a heck of a lot of work.

  • You should never pet a cat and then rub your eyes.

  • Watch this every time before you go out.
  • Never get stuck behind a school bus.
  • If you have long hair and you run outside, make sure you always bring an extra hair tie, because if one breaks you have to run with your sweaty hair sticking to your face and your back and you look like a stuck-up fool.
  • Life is awkward. Get used to it.

And now you’re ready to go face the world. Bye.

Give me your best life lesson.

  1. My question is, did you learn all of these from experience? Because some of them are pretty good ones ;)

  2. Biggest life lesson? Take every opportunity thrown your way, because it might be the best and/or only!

  3. So true about Bridesmaids. My number one life lesson? Tequila is not your friend. She’s a backstabbing bitch. Watch out.

  4. Aw I love this! I agree with all of these, especially the Bridesmaids tidbit. Also, getting stuck behind a school bus = URGH.

Everything is always better after coffee, is my life lesson. And if not, drink wine. Second life lesson. ;)

  5. All of these: agreed. “And now you’re ready to face the world.” haha Love it :) Have a great day!

  6. Ah.. love these!

Man, getting stuck in clothes is the worst!! ;) And so is running out of gas… though yes, it gets funnier later.. hehe.

  7. Love all of these and lets be honest Bridesmaids is a lesson book in itself! My advice always stop and enjoy your coffee (as opposed to smelling the roses) and take every opportunity offered because you don’t know where it could lead!

  8. Hahahaha i have to second sarah’s comment and question ;) bridesmaids makes everything better…joe and i watched it last week and just about died from laughter….the treadmill thing cracked me up too…i feel that way about anyone i see out running when i’m by myself….if you’re on my route, you challenged me to a race whether you realized it or not…:P

  9. I hope you didn’t learn all of these from experience, but they cracked me up! I like the treadmill one ,because it is a huge pet peeve of mine. Life lesson from me- even when you think your tea or coffee has cooled down, it still hasnt. ha

  10. haha love the one about the treadmill. So true!!

My advice is to remember to take risks every once and a while. Even if it doesn’t work out, you won’t ever have to wonder “What if…”

  11. These are spot on.

  12. O.M.G. LOVE these. Especially the dressing room one and the treadmill one – HUGE pet peeve of mine! Good life lesson. Delete ALL text messages from a night out when you get home. You don’t want to read through that shiz the next day and have drinking day after regrets ;)

Oh my gosh girl. I ALWAYS do that. No matter how much I drink, I always tend to be able to do that. It is essential. Such a great lesson that everyone entering college should learn for the rest of their life.
