A weekend away.

Hey guys! How is it going?? A bunch of random, non-important things have happened over the past few days so let me catch you up on that Smile with tongue out


  • drove 3 hours up north with my best friend and may or may not have stopped at a wine tasting on our way


  • went and got some delicious, local pizza with my grandma
  • got manicures!
  • workout: 1 hour power walk


  • went downtown to get lunch and go grocery shopping
  • drink wine at noon :x


  • make a delicious dinner of sweet potato fries, asparagus, and more wine



  • workout: 40 minute run/walk, TIU malibooty 3x



  • went to my aunt’s house to visit for a few hours
  • made thin crust margarita pizza for dinner
  • went out on the town (note the sarcasm) and visited a few local bars


  • stayed up late enough to watch last week’s episode of SNL and be in bed by 11; aren’t we wild?


  • workout: 1.5 hour walk, TIU under the sea 3x


  • cleaned up, did laundry, and dishes


  • made a wonderful lunch of TIU sweet potato fries, Brussels sprouts, and strawberries


  • caught up on computer work and watched a lot of Real Housewives
  • had our own little Cinco de Mayo fest with guacamole and kale chips and some yummy drinks
  • workout: 45 minute run and 1/2 hour Tara Stiles yoga

Things are going well so far! Of course we did other random things during the days, like walk the dogs a lot, but it’s just been very relaxing and chill so far; perfect. And we still have all day today and tomorrow before we leave on Wednesday! Score. We actually have some real plans for the next few days; surprise, surprise.


Now I just want to talk about the Tone It Up 2013 Bikini Series real quick. I am 100% head over heels obsessed with Karena and Katrina (in a non-creepy way, I swear).

They have truly changed my outlook on health and fitness for the better, and I could not be more grateful to them. Since I am a personal trainer and a nutritionist, I tend to put all my time and energy into my clients and forget about myself in the process. It is so easy for me to help other people and ignore my own needs. K & K have showed me that it is possible to do both! They have given me a phenomenal lifestyle to follow that is fun, rewarding, and one that I love to share with others. I am so lucky to have my best friend Sarah to do the bikini series with; her accountability has been fantastic!



I am planning a trip back to California (hopefully!) in June or July, and I really, really hope I am about to go to Manhattan Beach and talk to Karena and Katrina about their business and how they stay so fantastic. Enjoy this random picture Luke took from the last time we were there, lol.


They have really motivated me to move forward with my own online health coaching business, and I don’t think I would have made this decision if it weren’t for them. They are so darn successful and get to do what they love with their best friend for a career; does it get any better than that?! I don’t think so. They are so realistic (always post pictures drinking wine; my soul mates since it’s 2pm on a Sunday when I am writing this and I have a glass next to me) and make working out and eating healthy seem like a breeze. Which it is! I think it is sad how it is normal to eat crap and lay on the couch all day in our country. Everyone deserves to be happy and healthy and lead their ideal life. I am getting there, but need to move to California to top it off!

Ever since discovering Tone It Up in August 2012, my mindset on health has changed. I am able to provide my clients with better motivation, since I am motivated myself. I am able to crave healthy foods for the first time in my life, instead of throwing crap in my mouth just because (most of the time Smile with tongue out). I am starting to look forward to my morning runs, when running used to be hell for me. I get antsy if I sit still for too long and always look to TIU for a quick routine during commercial breaks of my favorite shows. These wonderful women have made me a happier person, and I would love to give anyone else more information if they are interested in purchasing a nutrition plan or even jumping on board with the bikini series!

A couple of cool thoughts & my first challenge group woot woot!

What a creative title-maker I am. I know you’re jealous. It’s okay. I forgive you. Speaking of forgiveness, that’s what I taught my Sunday School kiddos about yesterday and one little girl said, “I forgive my brother for when he smacks my back really hard and leaves a red handprint, but I actually think it’s really cool to have a hand on my back.” LOL. Cool kid.

Anyway, I’ve had a couple of thoughts that I wanted to share with you all regarding this blog. I will number them, because my brain has way too many thoughts running around and I might get really anxious if I try to type them out in a professional manner:

  1. I’m really excited to say this for some weird reason: I have not been being fully myself with you guys. I will be the first to admit that I have tried to make myself seem like a different person in a bunch of little ways over the course of this blog. Why do I think I need to make it seem like I am this epitomy of a perfect person and have these happy days and blah blah blah? Like, no. Just no. I’m not going to pretend anymore. I want to use the tone of voice in my typing I use in everyday life. I want to tell you guys what really goes on in my life and quit with the preachy self-help crap I’ve been projecting lately.
  2. My posts might change up a little bit from advice and issues and all that deep stuff to just about my life and my days, because I think that’s fun to read about and you might, too. Yes, no? I hope you say yes, because it’s happening whether you like it or not.
  3. I really don’t like planning out my posts. I’ve been trying to use a blog calendar for a month or so now, and I just think it sucks. I plan out these posts at the beginning of the week and then feel like I need to stick with that. No thank you. I’m a spontaneous gal (note the sarcasm) and you’re about to see that. Boom. Not really. But that’s okay.
  4. I am taking lots more pictures. I am so over the fact of people judging me for taking pictures of food or myself or random things or even writing this blog. They are mean people if they care and they can just go away. And I know I suck, because there are no pictures in this post, but I’m too lazy right now to go get my camera. Oops.
  5. I am also done planning out my workouts. I feel too tied down to them and just want to do what I feel like doing. Is that too much to ask for?
  6. I’m quitting pretending like I need to give up sugar or processed food or any of those wonderful things. I love them. Sure, I really could lose about 10 pounds right now, but I like gummy bears and brownies too much to do that by eating a completely clean diet. I’ll figure it out. In the meantime, I will eat the king size box of sour patch kids and all the bags of mini gummy bears Luke and I bought for our LA trip in ONLY 2 MORE SLEEPS!


Also, I am super proud to announce that I’m hosting my very first challenge group! Yes, it’s through Beachbody, but it’s really just through me. And I’m pretty cool. So we would have fun and I want you to join me! TurboFire & a “Different Week”

Happy Monday! For the first time in I don’t know how long, I’m excited for this week. Even though it’s super busy, I’ve got a lot to look forward to:

  • Getting a week away house-sitting, starting on Thursday
  • New Modern Family episode, FINALLY
  • Having family come into town for Easter
  • Getting a massage on Saturday
  • Starting the TurboFire! program

Let’s talk a little more about TurboFire! for a minute. Basically it was developed by Chalene Johnson and is an “intense cardio conditioning” workout that is set to high-energy dance tracks and burns a ridiculous amount of calories. Since I am now a BeachBody coach, I obviously want to try as many of their products as I can so I can accurately give recommendations to my customers! My issue is that I’m really getting back into exercise for the first time this week after 2 weeks off and I still want to keep up with yoga. My plan for now is to do 20 minutes of yoga in the morning before work and do my 50-ish minute TurboFire! workouts each evening after work. Not sure how well this will work out, but I’ve found that I need to make time to exercise in order to keep up with it. I really miss moving my body and am dying to get back into it. My other option is to take my laptop to the gym really early in the morning (like 6 a.m.) and go in the exercise room with it and do my DVD there. That could work as well! I guess I’ll just see how I’m feeling in the morning and go from there Smile

I wanted to start my new workout program yesterday, but I woke up and was still pretty darn sick.


Instead, I made myself my first ever Shakeology with my chocolate vegan flavor. It was delicious! I simply shook it up in my blender bottle with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and it honstly took up a milkshake-like consistency. It was yummy and I can only imagine how much better it will be when I actually blend it together with some ice and possibly a banana!


Now I’m all ready to start up my new program for the next 20 weeks! Here is the schedule I will be following. We will see how this goes. I’m determined to stick with it, simply because I am told exactly what to do (exercise-wise) each day. It can’t get much easier than that. Better yet is that the rest day for the TurboFire calendar is Wednesdays. That’s the day I like to go to my slow-flow yoga class; perfect!

Cutting Back

As you guys know, over the last couple of weeks I’ve struggled with a lot. I’m just not exactly where I want to be in my life, and it’s getting super frustrating. I’m determined to turn it around though! Here’s what I’m trying out this week to get myself content again: I am going to be cutting back big time on workouts. I have been so busy lately and exercise is just starting to feel like a chore. I know I’m already physically fit, so a little bit of time off isn’t going to kill me.

I also think I’m pushing myself too hard, saying I have to go to the gym for an hour every morning or I have to run 2 miles every single day, no matter what. I don’t. That’s not true. I can easily do a kick-ass Jillian Michaels DVD in my bedroom in the morning for 30 minutes, stretch for 10 minutes, and be done for the day. Boom. Just like that! Yesterday I nixed my run and did some serious yoga/stretching instead, which made me feel fabulous. I also got my blood drawn last Thursday and I think something went wrong, since my right upper arm and shoulder are killing me. It’s quite difficult to do any sort of strength training when you can’t lift your arm. So my goal for the week is to focus on more yoga.


I also signed up for Deepak Chopra’s Meditation Challenge with Oprah that starts tomorrow, so I will be trying to incorporate my meditations and yoga into some relaxing starts to the days this week. I did the challenge before and was never able to take it seriously. Determined to make it work this time! After that ridiculously long introduction, here’s my plan of workouts for the week:

  • Monday: Tara Stiles morning yoga routine + Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown, level 1
  • Tuesday: Tara Stiles spring yoga routine + jazzercise
  • Wednesday: Tara Stiles morning yoga routine + Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown, level 2
  • Thursday: Tara Stiles spring yoga routine + jazzercise
  • Friday: Tara Stiles morning yoga routine + jazzercise
  • Saturday: vinyasa class at my actual yoga studio that I haven’t made it to in about a month :/

Super chill, yet should still allow me to break a sweat every day. For those of you that don’t know, I am a “class manager” for jazzercise, so I am required to go to 3 classes a week to check people in and help out new class members. That’s why I talk about it so much. Smile Also, if you have never checked out Tara Stiles, please go to her website immediately. I’m warning you, if you watch one of her videos, you will watch them all. So make sure you have time. She is so darn cool.

I have been steadily exercising for as long as I can remember. I grew up a dancer, so I never even had to worry about exercising until my senior year of high school (which was only 4 years ago!). When I got to college I got myself on a regular workout schedule and have pretty much stuck with it ever since. I really want to try to take a full week off and see what happens. See how my energy and hunger levels are. Thoughts? Suggestions?


On a completely different note, Jenny from PBJ Designs is re-vamping my blog for me! It will most likely be down from this afternoon until a day or two later. I’m not gone; I didn’t quit blogging! I will be back, looking better than ever (not me, the blog Smile with tongue out) and ready with some new post ideas and a new direction for the blog. So yay! I’m so excited!

Annoyances vs. Wonderful Things

That’s the best title I could come up with. Bear with me. It has really been prevalent to me lately that whenever I have something great happen, there’s always some little bitty thing that goes and messes it up. Usually I’m able to find humor in these things, since they’re not typically large enough to screw up my happy moment completely. These are truly all examples of things that happened over the weekend. I kid you not. I did not make one of these things up.

I ran a 5k without stopping. Now that seems like nothing for most of you runners, but it’s big for me. I did it outside around my subdivision and just kept pushing myself to make it to the next mailbox and then the next one and so on….before I knew it I glanced at my watch and it said I had gone 1.95 miles. Then I knew I could finish the darn thing without stopping.


But then, I got chased by a dog. No joke friends. When I was probably at like mile 2.4, I saw a huge barking golden retriever a few houses away. I ignored it and smiled because it was cute and I’m a sucker thinking it had an invisible fence like most dogs do nowadays. It sure didn’t. Chased me for a good .1 mile. Just wanted to play, but I was not about to stop because I was determined at this point! It only made me run faster, so thank you random dog. And yes, I shooed it back into the direction of its’ home so its’ not out running wild. No worries.


I got some extra cash this weekend. Three weekend babysitting jobs and two personal training sessions have left my wallet very happy. I had a great time with all of it, too, so the money doesn’t even really mean anything to me. Just an added bonus.

I looked at my ever-growing list of things to buy. Including:

  • k-cups
  • a new lunchbox/cooler bag for my newly starting food prep
  • a juicer
  • perfect fit protein powder
  • kettlebell and heavier weights
  • random things for my LA trip next month

I know those are random things, but they’re needed for me. So there goes my cash. However, they will all end up being fun purchases, so I’m not mad. I’m usually extremely good at saving money, so it’s really hard for me to buy things that aren’t absolutely “essential.”

It’s all gone Sad smile However, I still have my typical peach, blueberry, and strawberry variety pack of a million I get from Costco, plus the random pear, blood orange, and lemon flavors I picked up at the grocery store.


Quite a few little play-dates with friends this week! As I talked about in my post yesterday, I’ve really lost contact with a lot of people who I used to be very close with in my life. I’m trying this whole “socializing” thing out again, and I’m actually super pumped.


I’ve had opportunities to babysit during these times. I really just need to learn to say no sometimes. If I already have plans made with friends, I do not need to cancel them every time if I am asked to babysit. I am allowed to say no, and I’m constantly reminding myself of this.


There’s only one more episode of The Bachelor before the finale! I am so excited for the finale episode. I always settle in with my bottle of wine and smile the entire time I think.

The Bachelor is almost over Sad smile However, I’ll have some more free time, which is always desperately needed. Is it pathetic that I consider watching this show something that I need to do?


I had the weirdest, best dream I’ve ever had. Now you guys totally can’t judge me on this one. Just go with the flow. I never remember my dreams, so you know it’s something fantastic when I do. Long story short, I dreamed that Jillian Michaels told me she loved me! She was in my bedroom telling me how she wanted me to come to LA to be there with her and her kids and wanted to take me to Punta Cana with her and her family. We talked for like, ever in my room and then we flew to LA together. There were a ton more details, but I’m ridiculously too embarrassed to type them out, haha! I think this happened because I was thinking about vacationing with families I nanny for before I fell asleep last night, and I guess it’s kinda similar? So Jillian, if you ever read this, I love you more. And I will come live in your home and be the best roommate in the world<3

It makes me sad every time I look at her, because I want her body. Goodness, that woman is a machine. My new mantra is WWJD: What Would Jillian Do? Not even kidding. This is implemented immediately.


Onto a new topic. As you all are reading this, bright and early on a Monday morning, I’m at the gym (hopefully) completing my workout and starting with this whole “work out at the same time every day” thing. I’m hoping this gives me some consistency and peace. It will also give me some much needed free time to relax and play catch-up in the evenings. Hopefully this routine will work out and make things a bit easier for me! Fingers crossed.

What’s the strangest and/or best dream that you can remember?


We’ve all been there. We have all been in that position where things just aren’t clicking the way they’re supposed to. In the cliché words of John Mayer, “your body is a wonderland,” and you should treat it as such. I know, I know. Easier said than done, yeah? I have found from research and personal experience that it really helps to have a goal that you’re striving towards. Even more important is to make this goal public, in order to hold yourself accountable!

Yup, this is happening. Now I am certainly not aiming to be a muscle-woman, but I would like to feel confident about my body in a bikini. What better way to do that than to force myself to prance around a stage in front of hundreds of people? I gotta get out of my comfort zone and challenge myself. I’ve been telling myself I’m finally going to get in shape every day for the past year. “That day” never comes. I’m ready for a change.

I am trying to get a friend of mine to train for and compete in the competition with me, just to make things more fun and lighthearted. I am not going into this with any expectations to win anything or have a life changing moment where I want to become a bodybuilder. We (hopefully!) will be competing in the “Ms. Bikini” competition, which is the most low-key event Fitness Universe offers. It basically involves being fit, toned, confident, and dedicated. I know I can do it if I set my mind to it.

Check out this video for footage of two of my favorite girls, Karena and Katrina, competing in the competition a few years ago. They are the ones who inspired me (hopefully us!) to do this. So thank you.

Now as you can probably guess, this is going to involve quite a bit of lifestyle changes. As many of you know, I am hoping to start my own online health coaching business. I’ve had some ideas floating around in my head for a while now, this “plan” being one of them. I’m going to create a healthy plan to prepare for a fitness competition, in hopes of helping women in the future train for such an event if they wish. This is just one of many things I’ll be working on towards my website in the upcoming months.

Want to know the best part? You can participate in this program even if you’re not interested in the slightest in doing a fitness competition! Let’s say you want to clean up your diet. This plan works. Let’s say you want a set workout schedule. This plan works. Let’s say you need consistency in all areas of your life. This plan works.

I am an AFPA certified personal trainer and nutritionist, but all opinions are my own. Always consult with your doctor before making any huge lifestyle changes. This is just my well-thought through plan of how I am going to prepare my body to be in the best shape of my life.

Ready to get started? I am!

The competition is approximately 17-ish weeks away. We’re going to use the next 5 days (Tuesday-Saturday, or whatever day you’re starting this on) to ease ourselves into some new habits and to make subtle changes that will eventually become habits. Then we will have 16 weeks of “the plan” and another 5 day turbo-boost to get ready for the competition (or whatever you’re preparing for; life perhaps ;) ?). Think of the first and last 5 days as a warm-up and a cool-down: necessary for a successful workout! Also necessary for a successful, healthy lifestyle.

So finally after all my rambling, I present to you the rules for The 16-Week Fit Body Plan.

1. Drink 100 oz. of water each day. Water flushes toxins from your body and allows your internal organs to perform at their highest capability. I like to use a 16 oz. water bottle and fill it up 6-7 times each day. Trust me, it’s more than possible.

2. Complete 3-4 cardio sessions and 2-3 strength training sessions each week. I’ll be giving plenty of options for these workouts along the way, so no worries. I know that I have a crazy schedule, so I’m providing lots of flexibility with your workouts so you have no excuse not to do them. Aim for 5 intense workouts, 1 “easy” workout, and 1 rest day.

3. Start and end with tea. Green tea in the morning gives you a metabolism boost. Decaffeinated tea at night helps you sleep. A high metabolism = more calories burnt. Relaxing, warm, herbal tea = better sleep. It’s a win, win. Enough said.

4. Get off your butt! Aim for 12,500 steps each day. An easy way to track this is to buy a watch with a pedometer on it, or even get a cheap clip on pedometer from Target. Walking definitely counts as exercise. It’s important (especially if you have a sedentary job) to get the blood flowing and the heart pumping multiple times throughout the day. Walking allows you to do this without breaking a sweat and having to shower in the middle of the day. Because really, who on earth wants to do that?

5. Stretch. We will be very active in these next few months. Stretching allows the muscles to release any pent-up energy you may have in order to prevent injury, not to mention giving you that long, lean look I know I am definitely striving towards. I highly suggest investing in a foam roller.

6. Read a book. Or take up any hobby you wish, that doesn’t involve exercise. It’s very important to not get too caught up in one thing, in order to avoid burnout. I advise you to indulge in something you love, such as reading, writing, playing an instrument, volunteering, meditating, or baking. Something that is just for you and allows your body time to recuperate from the stress we will be putting on it.

7. Grab a friend! Everything is better when you can do it with someone else. I’m praying I can get one of my friends to join me on this journey. I’m hoping some of you will play along, too!

8. Eat the greens. And the blues. And the purples. And the reds. And the yellows. You get the picture. Eat your colors. But the natural colors. Not those nasty artificial ones. I suppose what I mean by this rule is to eat your fruits and veggies. Plain and simple. No one ever said they gained weight from eating an apple.

9. Avoid the whites. If a food is white or in white packaging, it probably shouldn’t be going in your mouth. Except for eggs. And if you can think of anything else, let me know. Check nutrition labels always, and avoid processed foods at every opportunity. Let’s go back to the basics for a few months, shall we?

10. Keep track. I use my iPad to schedule out my daily workouts for the week on Sundays. I also use an app to record the foods I eat, but I do NOT count calories. No counting calories here; just focusing on eating the good stuff. Writing (or typing) things down helps you to visualize exactly what you got going on and what’s working for you and what needs to be changed.

So there you have it! Super simple rules. Probably stuff you already knew, but it’s nice to see it again. Print those out and stick them on your mirror. Make copies. Give them to your friends. Put one in your car. Get it tattooed. Okay, don’t do that last one. Bottom line is to remember these guidelines at all times. Don’t beat yourself up if you slip up. Just take a deep breath and start over immediately. Do NOT wait until tomorrow. In the words of Sweet Brown, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” Please watch this link if you haven’t seen it already.

Happy Monday!

Instead of dreading today, let’s make it the best day ever; shall we? I oftentimes start out the day with a negative attitude, when I should really be grateful to be able to get out of bed in the morning with my healthy body. Some people (too many actually) don’t have that privilege. I’ve gotten into this rut of just going through the motions of my life. I want to actually live each day and do something important. I want to help people and make a difference in the world. I spent some time with my two best friends from college last night and was reminded of how much fun I have with my friends. I need that time. I’ve really lost a lot of relationships in the past couple of months and I want to get them back. I want to spend time with the people I love the most and focus less on getting my menial tasks on my to-do list done each day. I’ve noticed that I spend way too much time on exercise lately. I could be using that time on something much more productive that my body needs, rather than working myself to the bone. So help keep me accountable, will ya? Alright, enough with my rant. Onto a recap of last night!


I spent the night with my two friends, Erica and Audrey.


I’ve known Erica forever. We live in the same neighborhood and went to the same school from kindergarten-8th grade. We were roommates in college and I love her to death!


I met Audrey my freshman year of college. We are literally the same person. I also lived with her during college. I don’t know what I would do without her.


We were originally planning on going out to eat at Mongolian BBQ last night, but after a long weekend all we really wanted to do was chill at home. So the girls came over my house and we ordered Jimmy Johns, talked, and ended up going on a hunt for a mouse. Yes, you heard that right. There was a MOUSE in my basement. It was just a little guy and actually super cute, but I dare you to have a mouse running at your feet and not scream and jump. We probably scared him half to death. We tried so hard to catch him to put him in a safe place, but it just wasn’t possible. My cats probably ate him last night Sad smile Break my heart. Hopefully there will be pictures to come tomorrow.


It was awesome to spend some time with them like we used to do back in our apartment. All we really did back then was drink, watch funny YouTube videos, bake ridiculous things, and lounge around in our comfy clothes. We were living the life. Can we just re-create that now? It really makes me sad to think back on how much fun we had and how little I appreciated it then. I wish I would have taken advantage of every second we had together and that carefree lifestyle we led. Maybe one day I’ll do a post on all the crazy antics we got into….that’s definitely good for a laugh.


Yup, that was on our wall all year. We were a fun bunch.


After they left I had some cleaning to do, some packing for my long day today, some laundry to put away, a ton of e-mails to catch up on, and some blog posts to write. Whew! I also managed to catch the episode of Walking Dead. Okay, so who else watches that show so we can start an e-mail chain about how crazy it’s getting?!

Snow Day!  I bet half of you out there in the blog world had snow days today, too. What a welcome surprise to have unintended time off to catch up on life. Loooove it. I got a call at 5:15 this morning saying I didn’t have to go into the gym to help with jazzercise. Score. Therefore, I had nothing to do until noon! I took the extra time to do some intense Tone It Up workouts and make some wonderful breakfast.

That’s one of the many toning moves I did this morning. The TIU girls are having a “Love Your Body” challenge until Valentine’s Day. I’ve been doing a great job keeping up with the workouts. Today was to do a BUNCH of their original toning circuits:

  • Love Your Legs 2x
  • Love Your Booty 2x
  • Love Your Abs 2x

Before my workout I had a homemade almond poppy seed muffin and my vitamins. Yes, I’m 21 years old and I still take gummy bear vitamins. Who cares; they’re delicious.


After my workout, I made these wonderful little gems. It’s just a basic pancake mix with a little bit of brown rice protein powder and some ground flaxseed added into the batter. I also threw in a couple banana slices and some blueberries to make them even more delicious.


And thennnn I added some extra strawberries, blueberries, and banana on top. So good. You may call me crazy, but I really just don’t like syrup at all. Something about the consistency? I’m the same way with honey.  I really love berries with pancakes; it reminds me of strawberry shortcake! I had green tea on the side as well.


I did have to go into work at the gym for a few hours this afternoon to work behind the desk. I basically make protein shakes for people, answer any membership questions that come up, sell packages, clean when necessary, and just spend most of my time talking to people. I love this job.


Alright, I’m going totally against the healthy living community tonight. Oops. Luke and I have coupons for a free pizza and breadsticks from Hungry Howie’s, which we’re going to use up along with getting some of these babies.


UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH I CAN’T WAIT. I only allow myself 2 of these per season. It’s the first day and I’m already going to be one down. I better use my other one wisely. I get it without whipped cream if that counts for anything?

Some Wisdom on a Monday Morning

Even though Mondays kinda suck, it’s always nice to have a fresh start to the week. I’m a big fan of lists and keeping track of what I need to get done, so I don’t get overwhelmed. I literally write everything down. For example, here’s my to-do list for today (oh, and I also work for 10 hours today):

  • stretch
  • workout (60 minutes cardio, 20 minute Tone It Up strength routine)


  • blog 2x
  • work on PT training plans
  • watch Ellen, The Bachelor, Biggest Loser, and HIMYM (yeah, Mondays are definitely my big TV night)
  • pack gym bag for Tuesday

I know I can definitely get everything done (because it’s pretty much the same thing I do every Monday), but I always have this little nagging in the back of my mind telling me I won’t. I know it’s no big deal at ALL if I don’t (like, please; I can always watch my shows tomorrow), but I just love checking things off and seeing my list get smaller. I have an agenda I got from Target and on Sundays I fill it out for each day of the upcoming week. It looks really overwhelming on Monday, but by Friday I love seeing everything I’ve accomplished. Sounds silly, but it works for me.


PS. Did anyone else see the Superbowl commercial last night about HIMYM tonight? Robin Sparkles FOUR?!?!?!?! So freaking pumped.
